* Not to ruin the surprise too much, but here’s a little rundown on both!

Tixel:

Tixel is a non-invasive skin resurfacing treatment for all skin types! Without lasers or microneedles, it treats wrinkles, fine lines, skin discoloration, sun damage, and skin texture.

Sculpt:

Sculpt is the first-ever non-invasive treatment that effectively targets cellulite on all skin types! It is a body contouring device that targets fat, targets cellulite fibers, and creates collagen.

Benefits of Medical-Grade Skin Care

Let’s face it, skin care can be overwhelming. With all the ads boasting their products are the best, it’s hard to know who’s really got the goods and who’s full of it. Most people find themselves asking “Where do I start?”

Some people see social media ads or commercials and start there because it looks appealing, but is it really the way to go? Sure, they’ve got good marketing. They can make all the promises in the world. Their brand is all over the place, but is the product going to help in the long run? Did you know that some products can actually make your skin worse?

So where can you turn to find someone who really knows their stuff? Enter Estheticians. Estheticians are educated, trained, and licensed professionals dedicated to the health and beauty of the skin. Their sole purpose is to help you achieve your goals to healthy skin by performing treatments and encouraging at-home skin care.

MedSpa treatments are a great place to start achieving those goals. However, the biggest rule is...those treatment results don’t last forever. Since your skin is a living cell, skin care is never a one and done thing. One HydraFacial isn’t going to forever keep your face glowing just like eating one salad isn’t going to keep your body healthy. Like everything else in life, it takes work and dedication. That’s where the at-home part comes into play. Many estheticians would even argue that having an at-home routine is just as good if not better than coming in for treatments, as long as it’s with quality products. Now let’s get to those quality products, shall we?

Your skin has very personal needs. There are many different skin types (dry, oily, combination, acne prone, etc.) and many different conditions (wrinkles, sun spots, acne scarring, etc.). That being said, it’s kind of a no-brainer that there should be specialized products based on your skin.

Most of the time, drugstore (over-the-counter) brands can not address these specialized needs. Sure, some OTC products are better than others. There are some that estheticians would even go as far as saying they like! However, mostly, they just aren’t quality enough for estheticians to recommend.

Instead, they recommend medical-grade skin care products. Medical-grade skin care, also known as cosmeceuticals, have a higher concentration of active ingredients than OTC skin care products. These products are clinically tested. They are also able to penetrate deeper into the skin vs. OTC skin care that can not penetrate the upper layers. This is important because many skin care conditions lie deeper than the very top layer.

So, how do you get started with a treatment plan for your individual needs? We recommend booking an appointment with an esthetician (you can contact us here).

At Heartland Plastic Surgery, we offer free skin care consultations. At your consultation, our esthetician will look at your skin and discuss any areas of concern. They will then come up with an individualized treatment plan based on your needs.
