Eugene J. Cherny, M.D., F.A.C.S., is the director of Heartland Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. He studied medicine at Rush Medical College in his hometown of Chicago. Brenda is Dr. Cherny's private nurse and has worked with Dr. Cherny since 1989. She graduated from Grand View University and became a nurse in 1984. Brenda started working with Dr. Cherny at Des Moines General Hospital and has been his private nurse since the opening of Heartland Plastic Surgery. Leigan is passionate about helping clients feel as good as they look. After earning her Bachelors of Health Science from the University of Northern Iowa and Bachelors of Nursing from Allen College, she began her career as a surgical nurse before finding her calling in aesthetics. Legian specializes in Botox injections and Hyaluronic Acid fillers. Her favorite area to treat is the lips!

Kylee Brulleman

Kylee is our surgical coordinator and digital marketing specialist here at Heartland Plastic Surgery. With almost a decade of experience in the Plastic Surgery and MedSpa world, Kylee plays a key roll supporting and guiding each patient through their surgery.
Kylee takes great care with each patient, making you feel comfortable, cared for, and heard. She will answer any questions you have and make sure you are prepared for your surgery.
Michelle has 4 adult children who she loves to spend weekends with. She also enjoys going to the gym, trying new restaurants in Des Moines, and camping with her friend group.
In her free time, Kylee enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, rock climbing, traveling, and playing volleyball.
